They've made monkeys out of us
This story written at worldnetdaily.com is a good example of the propaganda we have had to endure for who knows how many years in this country:

Most Americans have been led to believe the evolution debate is a tug of war between science and religion, a view that originated with the Scopes "monkey trial," immortalized by the mega-hit movie "Inherit the Wind." In the film, ignorant and near-rabid Christian fundamentalists come close to lynching a courageous high school teacher named Bertram Cates. In fact, in the opening scene, the Christian mob marches to the high school where Cates is teaching evolution, has him arrested and jailed, burns the young teacher in effigy and throws a rock through the jail window, injuring him.
But the movie was pure propaganda. In real life, the teacher, John Scopes, never spent any time in jail, never paid a fine - in fact, apparently never even taught evolution. The whole affair was instigated, not by "Christian fundamentalists," but by the ACLU, which was eager to challenge Tennessee's Butler Act that prohibited the teaching of evolution. Although the film depicted drooling religious nuts singing about hanging Scopes' famous lawyer, Clarence Darrow, from a tree, in real life the townspeople gave Darrow a banquet, with the lawyer later writing that he had "been better treated, kindlier and more hospitably" than he could have imagined.
How many important things have the liberal media lied to us about? How has the media tried to distort reality and shape the world to their view?
The lies are daily. They come from:
> Our schools
> Our Unions
> Our media
> Movies and TV
Parents pass the propaganda on to their children hoping they too will pass it on to their children.
One of the funniest things I have heard libs say is that facts aren't real. One of the definitions of the word "fact" in the dictionary is this:
Knowledge or information based on real occurrences: an account based on fact; a blur of fact and fancy.
I don't know why they don't believe most facts since those facts are based on exactly that, real occurrenceses.
Examples:
They scream about McCarthy and point to the evils of the 50s witchhunt of communists.
Fact - There were many communists in America in the 50s, some of whom were working in our government, passing vital information to Russia.
They say that we attacked Iraq for no reason and that there was no connection between Iraq and 9/11
Fact -
1) Iraq was proven to have WMD by the United Nations and Saddam even admitted it when he claimed that he dumped the WMD into the desert somewhere.
2) One of the top leaders of Al Qaeda was in a hospital in Iraq.
They say that President Bush has made America more dangerous
Fact - We have not been attacked since 9/11/01.
They say that Muslims are attacking us because we are decadent and evil
Fact - The Muslims are the ones strapping bombs with nails onto themselves blowing up England, Israel and other countries around the world.
They say that America is greedy and just takes from the rest of the world while polluting to our hearts content.
Fact - America is the largest provider of support and aid in the world. We have rescued more people from tyranny in the history of the world, 50 million in the last 2 years alone. Other countries do not have regulations for pollution control and they emit millions of times the pollution we do. They are given a pass in the Kyoto accords because they are "growing countries" and cannot afford the equipment that is required to clean their emissions.
They say Jesus would hate what we have done with our wars, our actions against homosexuality and our "anti choice" behavior.
Fact - Jesus knows we saved millions of lives at the cost of a few who were defending evil dictators. Jesus knows homosexuality is wrong, but that all people can come to him through prayer.
Finally, abortion murders 1.2 million of his children in this country every year. I really don't think Jesus likes that too much.
Okay, the part about Jesus was my opinion and I can't prove it to be factual. That's the point, there is a huge difference between fact and opinion. Opinions can contain facts but that doesn't mean that the opinion itself is factual.
So they give us their opinions as facts and they deny our facts and call them opinions.
CNN, ABC News, NBC News, CBS News, USA Today, The Washington Post and the other liberal media representatives are makinmonkeyses out of us every day.
The Discovery Channel is running a special this week on Evolution. Not on the "theory" of Evolution, but how Evolution has brought man to where he is today.
