Outspoken: Desperate Enemy

Desperate Enemy

After having killed 14 more American soldiers Oliver North stated it shows how "desperate" our enemy is by using these tactics.

"Desperate"?

We are the ones who are desperately trying to survive a Vietnam style war while they blow us up in safety.

> In Vietnam we fought an enemy who was coming from the North to kill us in the South.
>> In Iraq our enemy and their weapons are imported from Syria and Iran.

> In Vietnam we fought terror and tyranny alone as the rest of the world and the anti-war libs in America complained that we were the terrorists. No matter that we tried to minimize civilian damage, as opposed to our enemy, who forced women to blow themselves up while killing us lest their children be killed. No matter that millions were killed and sent to indoctrination camps after we pulled out.
>> In Iraq they say we are the evil ones, using examples of Abu Ghraib and accidental civilian deaths. No matter that Saddam is one of the worst tyrants in all of history.

I sure hope they don't ask Saddam to try on a glove at the trial.

> In Vietnam we fought a TV war which our enemy masterfully used against us. The Vietnamese general who is credited for having "beaten" us wrote a book on how he beat us and how other countries can do the same through our own media and the the inability of the American public to withstand prolonged war.
>> Bin Ladin himself has stated that America doesn't have the will to stick out protracted engagements and has used Vietnam, Beirut and Somalia as examples. Our media plays us off as tyrants and dictators, ruthlessly torturing and killing innocents.

When will we learn that war is hell? Why do we fight wars to win the hearts and minds of our enemy when they only want to rip out our hearts?

I know Jesus speaks extensively about turning the other cheek & all, but did he mean we should all be slaughtered like sheep so that our enemies can rule the world?

I don't think so

We won WWII by making Germany and Japan surrender unconditionally. We attacked ruthlessly and made them understand that to continue their course of action would be to cause their people to be annihilated.

Most of Iraq is going fine but our media won't tell you that. Most Iraqis are glad we rescued them from tyranny, but our media won't tell you that. The Sunni areas are where we have most problems. Anywhere else we are being attacked by foreign fighters from Syria and Iran, or fighters originating from the Sunni areas.

We allow our enemy to broadcast their message to Iraq undermining our efforts so that we don't make it seem as if we are scared of the media.

Two problems with that:

1) People in Iraq think we are too scared to take control
2) The propaganda that is broadcast is killing our soldiers

The Bush administration made an attempt to turn from the term "war on terror" and was instead making the silly statement "global struggle against violent extremism". Yeah, Rumsfeld and others have been using this new euphemism.

Thank you President Bush for letting us know we are really fighting a war, not a struggle.

Can you please tell your staff this and can you please treat it like a war?

I'm not praying for the death of my enemy, I'm praying for all innocents to live. There is a difference. We are currently allowing our enemy to live at the cost of the innocents. This is not how you win a war.

We will lose an emotional and physical war of attrition with no results.

I'm not saying our soldiers aren't or haven't succeeded in doing many great things in Iraq, we're just not being told those things. The only thing we see daily is another story of our courageous soldiers being cut down by roadside bombs and suicide murderers.

We need to attack or let the enemy in Arabia know that we will attack. Iran and Syria obviously.

Global media, including American media are anti-American. President Bush needs to form his own propaganda squad to film and interview American soldiers and Iraqi citizens over there. Let the media challenge it if they can prove lies or misdirection.

President Bush doesn't like to give speeches to the American public anyway, so run media reports from Iraq produced by the White House instead.

We need to remember why we are fighting this war in the first place. We were attacked on 9/11 and thousands of Americans were killed.

At first the libs denied it was Bin Ladin who did it, but after Bin Ladin himself told us this over and over they finally started to believe it. Then, right before the 2004 presidential election Bin Ladin came out to tell us why they did it. Even that the libs didn't believe it and denied the reality of Bin Ladin giving us a lesson on TV.

"Despite the fact that we are into the fourth year after September 11, President Bush is still misleading you and hiding the real reason from you, which means that the reasons to repeat what happened remain,"

"We decided to destroy towers in America," because "we want to regain the freedom of our nation,"

Al Jazeera quote "Bin Ladin said the September 11 attacks was in response to the injustices by the US."

The last quote is the correct one. Around the world people think we commit "injustices" while we are the most generous and have sacrificed more in the name of freedom than any other country.

But Bin Ladin, the libs, Europe and our media want you to believe we are the evil ones.

Wake up call. The difference between current American policy and the terrorists, we die to protect innocent life. They kill innocent life to scare everyone else into capitualting to their demands.

And Oliver, our enemy is not "desperate", they can do what they are doing until the cows come home. Unless we change our strategy and our media approach, we are the ones who will become more and more desperate.
