The Loving and Peaceful Left
Here's a response from the "intellectual left" to one of my articles.
I am a "liberal." I send food DIRECTLY to Africa. It's easy. Find the address of churches. If that's singing then I'm an opera star buddy. I HATE you CONS, greedy slobs.
Greedy slobs? I donate to charities as I'm sure many Republicans do. Unlike Dems though, I think Reps believe money that is donated, public or private, should be accounted for. Also, if good money is thrown after bad, as has been the case for so many years in Africa, it is time to reevaluate how support is provided.
By "bad" I mean that there are too many warlords and corrupt officials who are pocketing aid money. On top of that, the climate conditions make it impossible to create self-sustaining farm environments over there.
I don't say we should stop trying to help people around the world, but when Reps do, they won't get credit for it anyway. President Bush rescued 50 million people from tyranny in Afghanistan and Iraq and yet Dems accuse him of killing civilians intentionally for political gain.
President Clinton sent millions of condoms to Africa. This was his solution to stopping AIDS over there. He might have asked them if they like to wear them first though. They don't, and AIDS spread as much after the condom donation as before. Your tax dollars at work.
President Bush set up a simple abstinence program and wherever it is used, new AIDS cases are dropping.
Billions have been wasted over the last 30 years in Africa and 90% of it unaccounted for. Billions were wasted in Iraq with the oil for food scandal, much of it unaccounted for.
I'm not saying we shouldn't help those in need, what I'm saying is we should have a plan. Why open our wallets in the name of decency without having a plan or holding people accountable?
Kofi Annan is still in office. Why? His son is proven to have connections with organizations who pocketed oil for food money, and Kofi turned his head away when Saddam Hussen made a public statement that he was going to give $25,000 to family members of people who killed themselves while killing Israeli citizens.
Think about that, oil for food money going to kill Israeli citizens. Why Jews support Dems is beyond me. But that's a different issue.
Much if not most of the donated money that is disbursed through our government to charity causes in other countries is good money thrown after bad.
That's okay loving reader, I may or may not like you and/or your opinions, but I still love and pray for you.
:)
