Why would this woman get fired for her test that she administered to her 9th grade students?

I can't help but think there's more to this picture, but I can't tell. Ms. Littrell did say that she explained the origin of the words that the students might have been thinking of instead of the words that she was trying to get them to think of. I doubt that the students in her class didn't already know of those words anyway. My daughter probably heard them all before she was 15.

I hope the group that got her canned weren't conservatives. I would rather this be a situation where the liberals who rule the schools did something stupid like this.
