Liberal Religion

Just because Jesus wants peace in the world doesn't mean he's a Democrat or a liberal. It's interesting to hear everyone talk about who the next Pope should be & what moral issues he should represent and defend.

People are saying the next Pope should support homosexuality, abortion, stem cell research and more.

Umm, excuse me God, can you please allow me to be as deviant as I want to be? Can you please allow me to marry as many spouses as I want? Can you please let me be greedy, gluttonous, angry, lazy, filled with pride, lust and envy?

Rats, I didn't think so.

I am challenged by Jesus to be more moral, not less moral. If it were up to me and if Jesus wasn't real, I would do whatever I wanted. After all, who cares what I do if there isn't a God?

I've known & know many people who are human secularists. Since they don't believe in God, anything goes. If it feels good, do it. Without the foundation of morals and values, our children will grow up without boundaries.

The result of this kind of upbringing? I know as a Christian I can have all the same problems as non-believers, but when I truly commit to Jesus I don't have anxieties, depression, confusion or many other problems. I also try to be a better person every day.

No, not better than anyone else, better than I was yesterday.

Jesus loves all of us. Find him, ask him for his guidance and direction. You will see for yourself.
