CNN Poll Makes My Point

I have made the case in the past that we need to seek a higher authority for our rules in life. If it were up to us humans we would have a much different set of morals and values. I believe we want to allow for rules that are as liberal as possible.

This CNN Poll is an example of what the world would be like if it were up to us:

"4 percent said they want someone more conservative"

"9 percent of those surveyed said John Paul would be considered a good or average pope."

"59 percent -- said they want someone about the same as John Paul."

"Seventy-eight percent said the next pope should allow Catholics to use birth control, 63 percent said he should let priests marry and 59 percent said the next pope should have a less-strict policy on stem cell research."

"A majority of U.S. Catholics polled support John Paul's unwavering stance against abortion rights. Asked whether the next pope should have a less strict policy, 59 percent said no, while 37 percent answered yes."

The two that stand out to me are the ones about stem cell research and abortion. You can see that they are probably the same people since 59 percent say there should be a less strict policy on stem cell research and 37 percent believe the next pope should have a less strict policy on abortion.

This means that about 60 percent of Catholics that were polled support the culture of death that has been taking over the world. I don't know anyone who supports abortion, who can say with a straight face that it's not killing human beings. In the past there were plenty of people who were convinced that they weren't humans, they were just zygotes and things, not people. Not anymore. Most know, and many don't care. Abortion is rationalized away with words like "population control" and "it's better for them" and "woman's right to choose".

For those of you who need to read & hear it in order for the reality to hurt you, stem cell research and abortion is MURDER. You are supporting the murder of innocent human beings in order to make your life more pleasant. There is no way you can rationalize the murder of people to me convincingly. Why would you want to?

God challenges us to live a moral life. We are to help those who need help, not kill them because they are inconvenient or usable for a scientific cause. We are to feed those who need food, not starve them like Terri Schiavo. Left to our own devices we become like Nazis. We search for ways to improve God's creations and believe we have all the answers.

We need to be scared of a Government who wants to use us for experiments. We need to afraid of a Government who wants to kill our young.

This seems like a no-brainer. I feel like I'm talking to and about a bunch of children, but 70 percent of polled adult Catholics support the killing of innocents.

That scares me! If those who are supposed to be looking to a higher authority don't support life we're in big trouble!

Look folks, warning flags should be up in your heads. Murder for convenience should not be a reality, yet we have murdered over 40 million humans in this country alone in the last 30 years.

Stop killing and supporting the murder of your children!!!
