Outspoken: Life without Jesus

Life without Jesus

I think Society is drifting more and more to a life without Jesus. We look more to TV, material things and our own lives instead of our higher power.

Why do I say this?

Abortion, homosexuality, deviance, selfishness, divorce and many other indicator lights are flashing away & I'm not the only one to see them.

When we turn from God we turn to ungodly things. We turn to the "self" instead of God. We become our own Gods, responsible only to ourselves.

Many people choose the new "spirituality", mixing and matching what they believe the perfect ideals are for us as humans. Love one another (sexually), focus on yourself, meditate, study Buddhism and so many other things have taken us away from God.

Can people be happy with this? Divorce rates are increasing, abortions are still at record levels, people are waiting longer to get married, children are having sex at ever younger ages...you tell me, are people happy?

I can tell you that a life with Christ is 1000 times better than a life without. I've lived both lives and my other one was a wreck. I believed but didn't give my life to God. I prayed but didn't give my life to God. I had a hole a mile wide in my gut & didn't know why. How could there be a hole when I was a believer? Because believing in God and giving my life to God are two completely different things.

Night & day you might say.

Before I tried to live a Godly life. Now I live God's life. He challenges us to walk with him not behind him. He challenges us to believe in everything we can believe in without doubt.

People throw the daggers of religion constantly to justify their "anti-religion" behavior. They say "what about the Inquisition" or "what about the crusades" or "the Bible has just as many references to murder and killing unbelievers as other holy books do".

They miss the point. Jesus died for our sins and that's the end of it. What man does is not what Jesus does.

When I finally gave my life to Jesus I realized that getting to know Jesus is like getting to know someone in your family. I told my friend the other day that I know Jesus just as much as I know him. Christ is as real to me as this keyboard that I am typing on.

Jesus is what filled the hole in my life. He cured me of my ails, returned my wife and daughter to me, blessed me with another child and has saved me countless times.

When you get tired of living an empty life, fill up with high octane. Ask Jesus to come into your life and take it over. Give him every part of you to work with so that he can work the miracles that need to be worked in order for you to find true happiness.

Jesus loves you, all of you, unconditionally.
