Outspoken: Christmas is an American Tradition

Christmas is an American Tradition

Not only that, we shouldn't be ashamed of it. The liberal, touchy-feely, let's not leave anyone out attitude is nonsense. Now they've resorted to banning Christmas songs and even the notes.

This issue has gotten so stupid I can't believe it.

"Rev" Barry Lind commented last night on The O'Reilly Factor how it's unfair that we celebrate Christmas in a Christian fashion as a majority since we might offend the minority of people who don't celebrate it.

What kind of nonsense is this? Our roots in this country are Judeo/Christian with the majority going to Christian. You never see Jewish people up in arms over the celebration of Christmas. Contrary to this, they support our right to celebrate our national holiday. Yes, for those of you who don't know why you get off from school during Christmas, it is a Federal, national holiday.

If the humanists and secularists have their way, Christmas will just be another event that they can celebrate victory over Religion.

BTW for you druids & others who believe the Christmas tree was a secularist symbol, think again.

"It dates back to Germany in the 16th century, a dark age when the remote control had not been invented and the Holiday Bowl wasn't even played yet. The evergreens were meant to symbolize the Paradise Tree in the Garden of Eden, and it was a religious extremist named Martin Luther who first had the idea of decorating them with lights. In England, meanwhile, people began giving Holiday gifts to one another in remembrance of a story involving Three Wise Men."

Back to "Rev" Barry Lind. Mr. Lind, in the words of the Great Mr. Spock, "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few". It's interesting how liberals agree with this statement when it comes to hacking up babies for research, but when it comes to celebrating life they are absent from the discussion.

We "celebrate" Christmas in America, yes, as Christians. How else do you propose we celebrate Christmas Mr. Lind?

America, you need to realize that people like Barry Lind are winning. They have removed God from almost everything from the public square in America. Nativity scenes, Christmas songs and more. Our children can't pray in school anymore, they can't hold Christian meetings, have Christian clubs or teach Christian classes. In place of this the secularists teach their agenda to our children, like masturbation and homosexuality to 10 year olds, how to use condoms, how to have abortions and many other immoral acts.

America, we need to say yes, we are Christians, we celebrate it, we teach it, we pray ...and we are proud of it!

Perhaps keeping church out of schools is a blessing, particularly if the church allowed in the school is teaching heresy (like the importance of Christmas trees to our faith). Also, as sure as there is a heaven, I do not want the government anywhere near the policy making decisions of my church. I am ever thankful to have a faith in Christ that does not have to bear the responsibility of the awful things our government, among many, has done in the name of God. In fact, by Christ's example I am called to be critical in the face of such acts. The good news of Jesus Christ was not meant for those wielding power--read the book of Matthew and let me know what you find!

Also, no matter how much you disagree with a pastor, it is of the utmost disrespect to not refer to them as Reverend.
