Liberal Talking Points
Here are comments of mine in reference to a liberal cartoon that had many
negative talking points about conservatives.
Those points deserve approaching. :)
1) Homosexual marriage - It doesn't just threaten my marriage, it threatens
the nation as a whole. First homosexuals, then polygamists, bestiality &
the never ending spiral down the sewer.
2) Cutting taxes - Obviously if people make more money they pay more taxes.
Taking money from people to increase Government revenue is crazy. Do we
work for the Government?
3) We know that UN sanctions are only meant to be taken seriously against
Israel. Over 12 years of sanctions against Saddam and nothing. The UN is
worthless.
4) Deregulate corporations, regulate women's reproductive systems. - Only
liberals can put those two disconnected thoughts in one sentence. To
compare the murder of babies to corporate needs shows their lack of sense.
5) Kick illegal immigrants out except for the ones that clean his house or
mow his lawn. - Kick 'em all out and let legal ones in, then they can mow
all the lawns they want.
6) Constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage - We wouldn't have to do
this if liberal activist judges weren't controlling our country and doing
whatever they think is right, regardless of public opinion.
7) Smaller Government - Hear Hear!
8) Trade with Vietnam, China and not with Cuba. - Don't trade or deal with
any of these countries who don't have any semblance of human rights
9) Drug addicts thrown in jail - We don't want to throw the addicts in jail,
we want them to get clean. Repeat offenders commiting crimes are the ones
that are harming our country. The liberals attacked Rush for not being
thrown in jail, but when the liberal Senator in Florida was busted, not a
peep.
10) Stop stem cell research - You bet. It's just another way to kill a baby
and use it's body to heal someone. It's horrible and comes the closest to
being Nazis and the Japanese of WWII.
11) Global warming is bad science? Yep
12) Creationism taught in schools - Why not? They teach evolution, which
has been disproved more then proven. There are thousands of facts that
Jesus walked this earth and did the things that were mentioned in the Bible.
Only scientific "theories" support evolution.
13) "Physician assisted suicide" - What can we expect? Another liberal way
to kill people. Kill 'em when they're babies, kill 'em when they're old.
Just don't kill 'em when they kill one or many other human beings. Then
those murderers have rights. Hmm
14) President impeached for lying - Yes, President Clinton lied about his
affair with Monica Lewinsky to the Grand Jury. He should have been thrown
in jail, not impeached. That serial rapist and sexual predator did more to
harm the moral fabric of this country than Kennedy.
And finally, Bush lied? Yes, once again, insinuations and lies about
another person. Not a shred of proof that President Bush lied about
anything. Contrary to that, it has been proven the evidence that President
Bush had was used properly and much of it was the same evidence that
President Clinton used to bomb Iraq in 1998 during the Desert Fox attack.
Not one single fact proving that President Bush lied and yet the liberals
persist with this rally cry almost as if it's supposed to be equal to
"Remember the Alamo!".

This is why liberals feel this way about conservatives.
1) Slippery slope argument. Plus you don't even give a decent reason why it "threatens that nation as a whole"
2) No we don't work for the government, but we pay for the fact no person is an island (you do at least use roads do you not?) Thats why we pay taxes.
3) The UN is worthless to those without diplomacy skills.
4) Its a figure of speech, like the loaded term "pro-life", purposefully forcing the assumption that someone that is not pro-life is "pro-death" without providing for the alternative viewpoint that the fetus is part of a womans body. Personally I think anti-abortion is better suited. You simply attack the figure of speech, without providing counter argument.
5) There would be none left if we kicked all the illegals out. After all Americans don't want to do those jobs.
6) What "liberal activist judges"? When is the last time you ran into a "liberal activist judge", give me their phone number, so I can tell them their doing a great job. On a serious note, it seems to me, that any judge that isn't a right-wing blow-hard is a "liberal activist judge" in the eyes of conservatives. Another example of a lack of middle ground.

9) The problem lies with drug-dealers not with drug-addicts.
10) The term is "blastocyst" not "baby". Speaking of false equivalence, what about that one? What about equating a blastocyst to a baby? Should we illegalize IVF then? Should we force women to wear a device to capture eggs that are released but not fertilized that have the "potential" to become human babies?
11) The majority of reasons why many conservatives believe that global warming isn't happening is because they don't want to understand the science. Most mainstream scientists of various fields agree that climate change is occuring, and that human beings are the main factor behind that change. Ice-core samples, fossil records, etc all stand firmly behind this assertion. Put the Bible down for a moment and pick up a scientific journal. Argument from ignorance.
12) Once again, a false equivalence. You are saying that Creationism is science. It is not. Its religion. Thats like teaching Math in an English class. It doesn't make sense. I'm not saying religion shouldn't be taught in school. Its just, it should not be taught in a science classroom, and equated with science. Faith is another subject altogether.
13) Is it more humane to have them suffer? I guess you would like your relatives to suffer as they die slowly from incurable diseases. Sure being a progressive, I would love for there to be a cure for every disease, but there isn't. Its a matter of giving people that are suffering a way to end that suffering. What is morally wrong about giving people relief from that?
